- Overtime Pay
- Do You Qualify?
- How it Works
Did you know that your employer is LEGALLY required to pay time and a half for any overtime hours that you work? It’s the law!
According to the Fair Labor Standards Act, non-exempt employees who work more than 40 hours in the workweek must receive at least one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for the overtime hours.
If you haven’t been paid time and a half for your overtime hours, your employer may owe you money—regardless of whether or not you still work there, and regardless of whether or not you are salaried. Learn more about common overtime law misconceptions and violations, and types of employees who often qualify.
If you make a claim against your current employer, it is illegal for them to fire you or retaliate in any way. And, if you prevail in your claim, your employer will be held responsible for your legal fees.
